What does the cloud bring – and what should you pay attention to?
A cloud connection connects your door system to an app via the Internet. This means you can release a guest, revoke access or check the status while you are on the go, provided the system has the necessary sensors. This is convenient, for example if the family comes home early or a tradesman just needs to come in for an appointment.
However, further online access also means responsibility: a lost smartphone, a poorly protected account, a lack of updates or a service outage can cause problems. That's why we plan short authorizations, strong registration with a second factor, up-to-date software, transparent assignment of rights and always independent access. No connected solution is risk-free.

Technology can make everyday life easier. In an emergency, a clearly operable, appropriately planned opening from the inside is important for the way out.
Safety begins before installation
Escape routes, electricity and keys are taken into account.
Panic and escape function
We also offer suitable panic and escape locks. If you have a suitable lock and fitting combination, you can press the handle on the inside and open the locked door in the direction of escape. This can be crucial in the event of smoke or fire. An ordinary smart lock does not automatically replace this function. Depending on the building and use, the appropriate approval and design, for example according to EN 179 or EN 1125, must be clarified.
When electricity is only there sometimes
There are also solutions for a building without a permanent power supply: a mechanical door with prepared access, a suitable battery-operated system or technology that can be added later. Remote access, on the other hand, requires an available connection and energy. We clearly state which function continues to work in the event of a failure.
Access from outside
For motorized retrofits, we check cylinders and emergency or hazard functions: Depending on the system selected, a key from the outside should be usable even if there is a drive or key on the inside. This is tested in practice before the recommendation and after installation.
